Patrick Choules

Staff

Patrick Choules is the Director of Youth Hockey for Black Bear Sports Group. With Black Bear, Patrick develops hockey programming and oversees the youth hockey department and works closely with Black Bear Hockey Directors to continue to improve the overall experience of customers playing at Black Bear Sports Group facilities. Patrick is a graduate of Suny Potsdam where he played NCAA DIII Hockey. Patrick is a Level 4 USA Hockey coach and has coached both in the US and Canada at the Junior A, Tier I and Tier II levels.

*Black Bear Sports Group owns and operates 29 youth hockey organizations at the Tier I and Tier II levels. Black Bear also owns and operates four Junior hockey franchises in the United States; Youngstown Phantoms (USHL), Maryland Black Bears (NAHL), Mercer Chiefs
(NCDC) and Team Maryland (EHL).*

David Cosentino

Staff

David is a player agent and family advisor. He is the president of Cosentino Sports Management, a premier boutique agency headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. He has experience preparing arbitration briefs, developing negotiation strategies, and securing endorsement deals at the NHL level. David also helps players at the amateur level, aiding in their promotion to the next level as well as their development. The players David represents can be found in many leagues and countries, including Canada, the United States, Norway and Sweden.

Bob Crawford

Staff

Robert Remi Crawford is a Canadian-born American retired hockey player and coach. He played seven seasons in the National Hockey League between 1979 and 1987 with the St. Louis Blues, Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals. His best
statistical season saw him score 36 goals for the Hartford Whalers in 1983-1984. After retiring, Crawford turned to coaching at the youth level where he won multiple youth boys and girls championships. Crawford founded the Connecticut Jr. Clippers/Wolfpack program which has seen over 200 of the program’s players graduate onto NCAA Division I and NCAA Division III college hockey over the last 25 years. In 2001 the Clippers won the US National Championship. He was also selected as an assistant coach to the USA Hockey Viking Cup International Tournament whose team included seven future NHL players including Kyle Okposo and Trevor Lewis. Crawford was elected to the Board of Directors for USA Hockey, serving for nine years as New England Director while serving on many councils including Jr, International and Adult councils.

Two of his brothers, Marc and Lou, also played in the NHL. Marc, a long time NHL coach is among the All time coaching wins leader and was the head coach for the 1996 Colorado Avalanche first Stanley Cup win. Lou and his youngest brother Eric are currently NHL scouts having moved into scouting after successful professional coaching careers.

Michael Crawford

Michael Crawford is a long-term hockey scout, having worked 6 years in the OHL with the now relocated Belleville Bulls from 1998-2004, working as a Toronto-based scout with the team. Then, after leaving the team, Crawford took to being a freelance scout, where he continued to work for years, scouting everything from 15-year-olds straight up to the NHL, developing his scouting profile through years of experience.

Now Crawford has worked with Neutral Zone for the past 3 years, where he has taken to scouting across Ontario. His years of knowledge make him a well-known name across the scouting world, as well as giving him a finer eye for the players that have the edge that could see them make it in the big times.

Todd Griffith

Staff

Todd grew up in the Niagara Region in Ontario, Canada. He played four years of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He continued to play professional hockey for 10 years in North America and Europe. In 2017, Todd started Complete Hockey Academy which he owns and operates today and is the lead instructor. Todd specializes in elite level training for major junior players, USHL, NCAA & pros.

Rob Powers

Coach (2007-2003)

Rob Powers is currently the Full-Time Assistant Coach at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario. Rob got hired at Ontario as the first Full-Time Assistant Coach in the program’s history.
Rob joins OTU after playing four years of NCAA D1 at Robert Morris University, and then moving on to play professionally in the ECHL. After his professional career, he hopped right into the coaching world, joining the Aurora Tigers in the OJHL as their GM, Coach, and Director of Player Personnel. Being the youngest GM in the OJHL, Rob helped take the Tigers from 7 wins to 25, earning a playoff berth. and helping multiple players earn scholarships to NCAA D1, NCAA D3, and Canadian U Sports programs.

Joe Piccone

Coach (2007-2003)

Joe Piccone is an assistant coach for the Ontario Tech University Hockey program(Usports). Prior to his role with Ontario Tech, Joe was an assistant coach with the Aurora Tigers in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Joe played Junior hockey in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League for the Oakville Blades and Aurora Tigers.
